You can see the weather forecast here;

https://maltametoffice.com/en/forecast/

Mild and sunny feels like 19C in the day and about 12 at night. Rain showers Tuesday.

Take a light water resistant jacket (which you’ll likely want on the way to the UK airport anyway) and an umbrella

Layers. Cardigan/Fleece.

Suitable footwear bearing in mind pavements can be rough.

It also depends on you - a mate of mine wears shorts all year round, even in driving rain or snow! You might not…..

It's been a mixed bag. We had a week of highs of 13, cold wind and rain, but it's been sunnier recently and quite warm out. Definitely bring a jacket but do check back closer to date to confirm.

In December, Malta experiences mild weather, but it can still feel quite cold. Average daytime temperatures typically range from 11°C to 17°C (52°F to 63°F). Evenings and nights can be cooler, so it's advisable to pack layers to stay comfortable.

Consider bringing a mix of clothing suitable for varying conditions:

* Light layers: Pack t-shirts, long-sleeved shirts, and sweaters that can be easily added or removed.
* A jacket or coat: A medium-weight jacket or coat is essential for the cooler evenings and potential rainy days. A waterproof or water-resistant option would be ideal.
* Trousers or jeans: These are suitable for everyday wear.
* Comfortable walking shoes: You'll likely be doing a lot of walking, so comfortable shoes are a must.
* Scarf, hat, and gloves: These can be useful, especially if you're sensitive to the cold.
* Umbrella: Rainfall is possible in December, so it's a good idea to bring an umbrella or a waterproof jacket with a hood.

While the weather is generally mild, it's always a good idea to check the forecast closer to your departure date to get a more accurate idea of what to expect.

In December, Malta experiences mild and relatively cool weather. Average temperatures range from about 10°C (50°F) at night to around 17°C (63°F) during the day. While it’s not extremely cold, it can feel chilly, especially in the evenings and if there’s wind.

For your trip, it's advisable to pack layers. Bring a light jacket or sweater for the evenings, along with long-sleeve shirts and comfortable pants. A mix of both warm and lighter clothing will help you adjust to the varying temperatures throughout the day. Don't forget comfortable shoes for walking, as you'll likely want to explore the beautiful sights Malta has to offer!
