Solar Calculator

This functionality is already available on PhotoTravel, and I’d like to give a big thank you to Pavel Oskin and his app Spoter.photo (highly recommended) for their invaluable help in implementing this feature.

But we’re not stopping there! We’ve decided to take it even further by developing a full-fledged Solar Calculator.

This tool will allow you to choose any location from the map or from a list of locations and see all the same sun-related data and much more.

You’ll be able to select any date — from today to any future date — and see:

1. Sun’s position and direction
2. Sunrise and sunset times
3. Moon phases
4. Weather forecast for the selected date and location

All of this will be displayed on an interactive map, giving you the perfect tool to plan your photo shoots with incredible precision.

The functionality to view Sun position for individual photos is already available.

However, the full-fledged Solar Calculator, which will allow you to select any location and date, won’t be available until the end of 2026. This is due to more pressing tasks that we need to focus on first.

Thank you for your understanding and patience!
